Those little things that do good.

Throughout my schooling, I have tended to promote my courses and devote 100% of my free time to them. So I didn’t enjoy my free time. Until I spent a whole week studying and spending my midterms. It was the last straw that broke the camel’s back. For the first time in my life, I felt this need to please myself, to breathe and to do something else that comes out of everyday (home, school, home, social networks, sleep). As a result, I have been doing a few activities on my own for some time. These are little moments that I offer myself to enjoy and to be with myself. What I invite you to do so that you too to be by yourself.

Practice a sport

Even if the sport is known for developing physical abilities, when I practice it is to relax and discover myself. I try to practice yoga as many times as possible. It’s not a regular practice, but it soothes me enormously. Yoga allows me for once to use my body for “artistic” purposes. Which counterbalances the fact that I use my brain all day. It also allows me to focus on myself since by practicing it I use my senses in a good way.


Buy yourself a gift

It’s innocuous, but sometimes it’s good to have small products. As for me, who am not a big consumer, what I like to do is buy decoration objects of any kind like illustrations or plants. Lately I’ve been craving dried flowers, so I bought them for myself and I think it’s a beautiful gift to myself. Especially since I can keep it for a long time.


Go to see a movie

What I like to do most is go to the cinema. I don’t know about you, but personally when I go there it’s to immerse myself in the film. I know that some people who goes to see a film talk to each other and take this opportunity to meet again. But I’m the kind of person that when I watch a movie or series, I’d rather focus than doing anything else. And I can tell you that watching a movies alone is one of the best times to get out of your mind and think about something else.  


Eat

Did you know that eating is the first pleasure for human beings? There is nothing better than having a good meal, a treat or sitting in a cafe alone watching the time pass. Personally, since I have no income, it is quite rare that I consume outside my home. And since I love making recipes, I take the opportunity to cook and enjoy recipes quietly at home. But I admit that settling down in a good coffee and eating good pastry once in a while is a better idea.
